The Best Places to Ski in the US
Where are the best places to ski in the U.S.? With so much wonderful snowfall during the winter months, it's pretty easy to find a killer ski resort that offers beautiful, pure white powder just begging to be tracked. But what is the absolute number one spot for ski enthusiasts in the United States? That depends, in large part, on you and your votes. This list includes some of the most popular ski areas in the States, which are also some of the top ski resorts in the world. Be sure to vote for your favorites and vote down any you just don't like. If you see that your favorite ski resort area in the U.S. isn't included in this list, by all means, add it. Skiing fans will thank you for your contribution.
What makes for a stellar ski spot? Great powder and beautiful mountains that challenge even the expert skiers. And of course, the ski areas have to have great resorts for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. From Telluride to Taos, the ski locales listed here are known for having all of the above.
While many of the best places to ski in the U.S. are located, not surprisingly, in snowy Colorado, not all of them are, and some will argue that other locales are far superior. Stowe, Vermont, is a great place to ski, as is Squaw Valley in California.
