Most Anticipated 2013 Films

2013 will continue many of the trends set in the preceding years. Remakes remain a staple of big-budget Hollywood, with new takes on "Carrie," "Evil Dead" and "Robocop" coming to theaters. Expect a steady stream of sequels, threequels and beyond as well, with "Monsters Inc.", "Despicable Me," "Die Hard," "GI Joe," "Scary Movie," "Star Trek," "The Fast and the Furious," "The Hangover," "The Smurfs," "Grown Ups," "300," "Percy Jackson," "Sin City," "The Hunger Games," "RED," "The Hunger Games" and "The Hobbit" all getting follow-ups in 2013. Comic books will continue to be fodder for tentpole films, with sequels to "Thor" and "Iron Man" hitting theaters, as well as a new take on Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and a reimagining of Superman's origin in Zach Snyder's "Man of Steel."
