Ruth Revolutionizes the home run and became a world icon,(and a left handed pitcher as well), cobb did more things on the field to put his team in position to win, Mays did a little and a lot of everything to excite most who seen him, Williams was the best pure hitter, with power outside of Cobb and Aaron was the most consistent player with longevity, if Gehrig didnot come down with ALS, he would be up hear as well!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honus Wagner at 7/14/2011 6:20 PM
That and Wagner was a helluva lot better.

Big Train the 4th place pitcher and overall 15th all time? Please...

Willie Mays at 7/14/2011 6:18 PM
Say Hey's OBP, OPS & OPS+ say hi.

Babe Ruth at 7/14/2011 6:14 PM
No need to run when you just need to trot around the bases after putting the ball in the bleachers.

Roberto Clemente at 5/07/2011 9:57 PM
People forgot how great he was. He died way too soon and he could of been the greatest of all time. He was taken before he could prove it.
    9. TerryReed
Lou Gehrig at 5/07/2011 9:55 PM
The original Iron Horse of baseball, he could do it all.
    10. TerryReed
Ty Cobb at 5/07/2011 9:52 PM
He and Shoeless Joe Jackson were the best of friends, contrary to pop**ar belief.
    11. TerryReed
Honus Wagner at 5/07/2011 9:51 PM
The only reason Banks is ranked ahead of him is because Wagner played in the early years of baseball.
    12. TerryReed
Josh Gibson at 5/07/2011 9:50 PM
I'm guessing he was the greatest catcher ever, and the true Home Run King!
    13. TerryReed
Satchel Paige at 5/07/2011 9:49 PM
If only we had more Negro League Statistics, I bet he'd be above everybody else regardless of skin color. Why did it take so long for people to lose their prejudice?
    14. TerryReed
Pete Rose at 5/07/2011 9:47 PM
Don't even start with the gambling garbage. He was a phenomenal player and deserves the HOF.
    15. TerryReed
Willie Mays at 5/07/2011 9:45 PM
The best ever. Not even up for debate.
    16. TerryReed
Babe Ruth at 5/07/2011 9:44 PM
If he could only run throughout his career; he'd be ranked above Mays on my list. But he had a huge ego that got the better of his playing days. Otherwise he may have been a baseball god, instead of just a legend!
