      Yeah, agreed: 28 Days/Weeks Later are infection movies. Totally different genre. Anyone who says the rage infected people in these movies are undead is asking for a slap.

      Remove 28 Days/Weeks. They're not zombie movies. They're great movies, I love them, but they're not zombies. Zombies are reanimated corpses, period.

      Should not be in the list. It is NOT a zombie movie. Look at every other zombie movie on the list, save this one's sequel. They're ALL reanimated corpses, not people without Prozac. Stop calling this a zombie movie.

        Agreed.. 28 days/weeks later ain't zombie-flicks. The premise/concept is completely different. The victims here is infected with rage, and becomes something akin to rageholic killers... Zombies die first,then wakes up with only one primary need, the need to feed on flesh

        Dr. Frankenstein's monster was not a zombie. The monster was fully alive, not undead. Plus, whereas zombies traditionally have a heavily diminished, primal version of the personality they had in life, the monster had its own, brand new, fully developed personality. *The monster had it's own unique soul.* That last statement may sound silly, but it's effectively the whole point of the story. What Dr. Frankenstein had done was create the first, man-made soul. With that in mind, the whole "playing God" theme of the story makes a lot more sense than just basing it on the concept of a scientist resurrecting a reconstituted corpse.
