If there is a more perfect opening song to a more perfect album, I have not heard it. Abbey Road is arguably the greatest album of all time, bar none and thus the opening track Come Together is perfect, too. Lennon was originally contacted to write a song for a political campaign with the tag line "Come Together" (to vote for the politician) Lennon took this idea, and put together what at first seemed like nonsense words to an old tune.

It was rejected by the politician, Lennon reworked it and magic happened.

If imagination looked like anything, it would be Dark Side Of The Moon. The album opens up with a beautiful and haunting heartbeat that indicates that music is a living, breathing organism. And it just gets more beautiful with each listen.

If you could sum up OK Computer in one song, Airbag is it. Thom sings beautifully, the music is captivating and the feeling is intense and wonderful and scary all at the same time. This is music that does not age and cannot be improved upon. There is no better in modern music.

I wanted to put the official video because it's awesome and shows that once upon a time u2 was badass. Also this is the KING OF EPIC RIFFS. Go Edge, go. Also this, as an opening track is so awesome I have to go lay down.

Bowie is the king of cool and the Thin White Duke all at the same time. It's a crying shame he's not making music anymore because he is a genius of the likes we will never see again. This is the magnificent opening track from what's commonly just called "Ziggy"
