10 Worst Movies in 2009 You Wish You Hadn't Seen in Theaters By   [37 more lists]

The worst movies of 2009 are listed below. You went to the theatres, but wish you'd rented them. Going to a movie is always a gamble, but in this recession finding out that the glowing reviews in the TV adds were full of s**t hurts that much more. Dropping $10 or $20 and two hours on something you regret as you walk out of the theater is like its own unique walk of shame.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 10 Worst Movies in 2009 You Wish You Hadn't Seen in Theaters Film picture
So how do you make $300 million look kinda cool but completely boring? Stephen Sommers, you have now answered that question. This was a horrible waste of time and money for both the studio and the viewer, but I'm pretty sure in a year or two we'll see a sequel. Not only did I not care about any of the characters, but the logic behind everything was both needlessly complex and incredibly stupid. If you blow up an iceberg it won't sink, because it's made of ice.

All About Steve 10 Worst Movies in 2009 You Wish You Hadn't Seen in Theaters Film picture
When I go to a movie, i don't want to see a clingy obliviously obsessed woman, that's why I ducked into the theater in the first place. Sandra Bullock's character is so unlikeable in this movie that it was uncomfortable, and it hurt more that you paid to feel that way.

Imagine That 10 Worst Movies in 2009 You Wish You Hadn't Seen in Theaters Film picture
Regardless of if you thought this was a good movie or not, the fact that you dropped $20 (you and your whiny kid) to see Eddie Murphy's giant creepy head for an hour and a half was not pleasant. He made some of the creepiest faces I have ever seen, and that was just in the trailer, at regular size.

If you're not seven, then the only thing you're thinking during this film is, "Why Steve Martin, why? Do you need money that badly?". It's really no surprise though, since he hasn't done a funny movie since 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles'.

New Moon 10 Worst Movies in 2009 You Wish You Hadn't Seen in Theaters Film picture
Regardless of if the movie is actually any good, I will never want to sit in the middle of a theater full of screaming pubescent girls lusting after a guy that looks like he spent the night in a trash can.

I saw New Moon, and it sucked. The first and third Twilight movies were okay, but this one really sucked.

I agree with not sitting in the theatre with crying, heartbroken girls, but I actually kind of enjoyed 'New Moon'. Of course, I'll give anything with werewolves a chance. :)
