155+ Chinese Companies

A list of Chinese companies. Each company on this list is from the People's Republic of China. Over the last several decades the Chinese government has encouraged smaller private enterprises to replace certain less profitable or inefficient state-owned enterprises. Other SOE's were simply given western-style management systems to improve revenue. More recently, however, China has pulled back from the liberalization of its economy as state owned companies have begun to purchase up independent private businesses in certain industries. This list includes both types of companies, with businesses in many different fields and industries. China is a leading example of "state capitalism" in which a socialist state or communist nation runs its industries in a capitalist manner.
