When it comes to notable atheists, atheist authors (and atheists writers in general) may be some of the most famous atheists out there. This is a list of atheist authors, with images. Despite the prevalence of Christianity, authors, like their philosopher cousins, have always been on the cutting edge of the cultural conversation and have therefore been much more likely to embrace the belief that there is no God. Out of all the modern atheist authors, my favorite is Douglas Adams. That said, there are plenty of other famous atheist authors, and other famous atheist writers who I enjoy on this list.
