Factors 4 and 5 in our deep analysis of the Worst Movies of All Time list were interesting, in that both contained movies that could have just been considered general "disappointments."

What made Group 4 stand out, though, was that most of these disappointments were part of larger franchises or series of films. Even some movies that were intended to kickstart a new franchise - such as Roland Emmerich's "Godzilla" - seemed to get lumped in her because audiences thought they knew what they were getting, and then left unsatisfied.
