Best Beers No One Ever Orders

When you aren't looking to fit as many light, watery beers into your belly as possible, try out this darker and infinitely tastier brews. Meant to be enjoyed, not pounded. And since we're going by least tapped beverages, I'm putting Arrogant Bastard at the top of the list. Have to show love for my San Diego-based brewers, and it still has a robust, rich taste at a high alcohol percentage. Cheers!

My favorite of this list is to combine Guiness Original and Harp into a Black and Tan. Yum

H**l yeah! Anything Unibroue floats my boat. When I'm feeling like basically drinking bacon, I go Maudite...sharing a biggie with a lady? Ephemere.

    Unibroue is the s**t.

Yeah, anything by Unibroue, the master of Quebec micros, rocks my world.

too bad its near impossible to find any Firestone outside So Cal.
And where's the love for the Belgium-based Delirium? My what a tasty yet strong concoction.

Delirium Tremens -- also coincidentally available on tap at 3rd Stop. Mister 'epynom,' I do believe that we should commence our mutually assured liver destruction at 3rd Stop when you come back. I think you'll dig it.

Great idea for a list - I just might have to steal it.

I like the premise here. I remember being at a really solid Irish Pub in Chicago and realizing that everyone in the bar was drinking Miller Lite. Tragic.

Agree with Mollie also. That most of the beer drinking pop**ation doesn't realize that Belgium is the Mecca of beer is so sad.

True, I'll have to add on some Belgian choices at some point. This is almost more of an American microbrew taste test, actually, though I had to put in the Guinness due to my Irish heritage. No choice there.

I do believe you're missing Chimay. God bless the Trappist monks.

And by the way, Chimay is available on tap at 3rd Stop in Hollywood -- one of the few places I've ever seen it on tap.

True...if they brewed it specifically as a draft beer, wouldn't that make them Tappist monks?
