Best Companies to Work For

List of the 100 best companies to work for the US for the year 2011. For employees, these are the top and most exemplary corporations to work for, in terms of job growth, compensation and non-monetary 'perks.' Annual pay was calculated based on the average pay rate, plus additional financial compensation, such as bonuses. (Both salaried and hourly employees were included in these calculations.) The "job growth" metric measured employees who received promotions, along with new jobs added and voluntary turnover (employees leaving their positions voluntarily.) These calculations include full-time employees only, not part time.

Though there are a number of intangibles associated with rating the quality of a workplace - from the size and overall competence of the teams, to the layout of the office - this list attempts to take as much of the quantifiable metrics as possible. The survey was originally conducted by <a href="http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/bestcompanies/2011/full_list/">CNN Money</a> and is published each year.
