Best Horror Movies of 2011

The best horror movies of 2011 managed to scare moviegoers out of their wits. This isn't as easy to do as it seems: A great horror movie has to somehow tap into viewers' deepest fears with a great, creepy plot, killer special effects (so to speak) and a few "jump out at you" moments as well. Which horror movies were the best in 2011? I've listed several that I think deserve a spot on this list - but it's up to you guys, horror movie fans, to vote them up or down. And if I missed a great contender for best horror movie of the year, definitely add it!

I realize that not everyone is scared by the same things: Some might prefer the suspense of a 'Paranormal Activity 3' or 'Insidious' over the slasher horror (and yes, humor) of 'Fright Night' or 'Scream 4.' Did you love the campy scares in 'Shark Night 3D?' Did you cower in fear during 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark' or 'Final Destination 5?' Or do your tastes run more towards the fantasy or science fiction horror films, like the 2011 remake of 'The Thing?'
