Discovering a great novel is a gift. The best fiction books manage to capture our interest from the first page, and keep it throughout the story. When we're done with a truly awesome novel, we feel almost let down. Then, as bookworms do, we immediately seek out the next big novel to read. This list includes a compilation of some of the greatest novels from 2012, so hopefully if you're looking for a new page turner, you can find it here.
One novel that turns up on almost all best of 2012 books lists is the mystery 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn. No spoilers here, but there's definitely a twist. Other notables for 2012 fiction-wise include 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green, 'The Age of Miracles' by Karen Thompson Walker and 'Canada' by Richard Ford. Also in 2012, 'Harry Potter' author J.K. Rowling released her first ever fiction novel for adults, 'The Casual Vacancy.'
