The South is known for its pageant contestants, with their glitzy dresses and sky-scraping hairdos. No shade, the drag queens from down South are the same way. Pageants are the level by which all Southern queens are judged, so the girls from below the Mason-Dixon come big, pretty, and polished. Nobody wants to get read for resting on pretty though, so many of famous Southern drag queens also bring the laughs, cut a rug, or keep their camp game strong.
