The Help
The most inspiring book I read all year. I can't wait for the big screen adaptation coming out next year.

One of the best young adult novels I've read since The Giver. Read this one before the movie adaptation hits the big screen.

Yes, the hype is true. It's a damn good book. Lots of suspense. I liked the foreign film, but I can't wait to see David Fincher's take on this thriller.

Another young adult novel that comes highly recommended. A heartbreaking story of a young girl who has to resort to stealing books in Nazi Germany.

I have an obsession with true crime, and this one about the Manson murders is disturbing. Don't read this one when you're alone at home. Creepy stuff.

One Day
I'm still reading this one, but so far, it's a blimey good read. Very witty dialogue. It's no wonder this one is headed to the big screen next year.

It's kind of a good story. It had its flaws, but overall a witty young adult novel. I haven't seen the movie adaptation yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Talking to Girls About Duran Duran
Anything about the 80's gets me nostalgic for the decade that introduced us to cheesy Synth Pop and parachute pants. A fun read for the Generation Xers.

A quirky, unique young adult novel that can't quite overcome it's cliched ending.

An important novel for those dealing with depression. You just have to deal with an annoying narrator.

A cool premise, but it was just too cliche for me.

It had some laugh out loud moments, but the science of it all bogged down this book. Even though I finished it, I never truly felt motivated to pick it up and continue reading it. Too bad, because it has an interesting premise.

This Is Where I Leave You
The cookie cut-out characters, cliched dialogue, and the "woe is me" narrator are an annoyance. I wish I didn't waste my time with this one.

The characters are unlikable and one dimensional which makes for a difficult boring read.
