A list of books with titles that quote other well-known works of literature. Many of these are phrases we've heard, but probably can't place. This list provides the answers. Coincidentally (or perhaps by design), many of these books may also be found on lists of the greatest literature of all time. It's no surprise that being "well read" is an attribute shared by many of the world's greatest authors. This list excludes books that only quote Shakespeare in their title. Shakespeare is quoted so often, he would require his own list. You'll probably notice that many of these quotes have also been used as song titles and in other mediums.
