David Copperfield is like child labor of the present times.

I must have had the world's best English teachers (thanks Ms. Gonzalez & Ms. Nelson), because high school definitely only made me appreciate these books more.

For me it was a bunch of professors hitting me over the head with the relevance of metaphor. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good metaphor, but it's not like it wasn't obvious while reading it. I dunno, I think studying a novel based on classroom curriculum takes all the fun out of it for me.

I am so with you on Moby Dick. Do not give this book to high school freshmen. Ever.
