Chinese Zodiac Signs

Chinese zodiac signs are determined by the year a person is born. All total, there are 12 animals representing each of the Chinese zodiac signs. This list includes all of the animals in the Chinese zodiac, along with the corresponding years of birth, so you can determine your particular animal and them see some of the characteristics of someone born under that particular sign.

Every animal in the Chinese zodiac has specific characteristics that distinguish it from others. Those born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Horse, for example, are generally free-spirited individuals who love to travel and go wherever life takes them. Not so for those born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Rooster. Roosters are often planners, and they can be extremely meticulous about every little detail.

Keep in mind that not all traits apply to every single person. Some Dogs, for example, are extremely uptight - even though their animal traits say they're mostly easy going. As with all things astrology-related, it's not a one size fits all. You might have some of the Chinese zodiac sign traits, but not others.
