Apparently this is already in pre-production at Intrepid Pictures, I hope they don't screw it up. The book is a perfect storyboard for a film. It needs to be adapted in pristine order to really do it justice. The story follows two "couriers", think Statham's Transporter, who get involved in a Chinese General's blood hunt through the island of Manhattan.

Jim Mahfood's urban art style would be hard to translate to the screen, but the insanity of this series should be brought to the masses however possible. From the book: "Cute, independent, and full of attitude, Gwen, Daphne, and Rita are three girls doing what they have to do to survive in big bad Freak City. From expressing themselves through graffiti or cutting loose on the dance floor, the party is always raging- that is, until the Brotherhood of the Cracker catches wind of the good time and decides to crack down. The Brotherhood is an evil alliance that controls the world's power structure from behind the scenes, and they don't like the Grrls hoarding in on their business. Before they know it, the Grrls are being hunted by assassins and are on the run for their lives." That screams awesome movie to me.

A boy genius with a foul mouth has multiple adventures with his equally foul mouthed and penis obsessed best friend. What's not to love? From Aliens to ancient talking gorillas, this series had so many whacked out moments of brilliance I'm shocked it hasn't already gotten a green light.

Say what you will about Spawn, but I always found the most interesting characters in that particular universe to be the detective team of Sam and Twitch. Their Noirish crime comic was a real page turner for me, especially when they were tracking villains that were way worse than anything of the super variety. A dark neo-noir Sam & Twitch movie may be just what Hollywood needs to reintroduce the Spawn franchise to the world.

Spies, N***s, hidden artifacts, and beautiful women abound this J. Scott Campbell book. It's like an Indiana Jones movie with a hot blond wearing the fedora instead of Dr. Jones. Oddly enough, the lead character's name of Dr. Abigail Chase is shared by a treasure hunting blond in the National Treasure films. Coincidence?
