A chronological list of Popes in order from Pope Innocent VII to Pope Alexander VI, with many pictures included. Pope Sixtus IV commissioned the construction of the Sistine Chapel during this time. As the head of the Catholic Church and the Bishop of Rome, it is the Pope's duty to spread the gospel of Jesus throughout the Holy See and interpret God's will so Catholics may enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Many Popes have been bestowed sainthood by the Vatican and are revered to this day.
