A great chronological list of Popes in order from Pope Leo XI to Pope Clement XI, with lots of pictures included. During this era, Pope Urban VIII gained infamy for prosecuting Galileo Galilei. As the head of the Catholic Church and the Bishop of Rome, it is the Pope's duty to spread the gospel of Jesus throughout the Holy See from the Vatican and interpret God's will so Catholics may enter the Heaven's Kingdom. Many Popes, especially the earlier ones, achieved sainthood and are exalted to this day.
