The coolest Cactus League spring training stadiums are spread across the state of Arizona and each host at least one team from Major League Baseball annually for practices, promotions and pre-season games. These baseball stadiums and the host cities including Phoenix, Peoria, Scottsdale, Tempe and Glendale, welcome a total of 15 MLB teams and their many loyal fans for MLB spring training each year.

Similar to the coolest spring training stadiums in the Grapefruit League in Florida, some of the coolest Cactus League ballparks are some of the newest. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, which was added in 2011 as the second home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, hosts more than 20% of the total attendance of the Cactus League as fans flock to the main field and the 12 surrounding practice fields in the complex.

Unlike Grapefruit League stadiums, the ballparks in the Cactus League see more sharing of stadiums with only 10 stadiums in the league for 15 teams compared to a total of 14 stadiums for 15 teams in the Cactus League. Many of the older stadiums, such as Phoenix Municipal Stadium, built in 1964 and used by the Oakland Athletics, and Tempe Diablo Stadium, added in 1968 and home to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, house only single teams while many of the newer stadiums comfortably house a pair of squads with separate clubhouses and practice facilities.

All in all, these Cactus League stadiums don't only provide places for fans to follow their favorite teams as the MLB stars prepare for the season, these fields also provide a big economical boost to the communities in which they sit. An estimated $300 million in economic impact results from the Cactus League in Arizona which makes America's pastime not just fun for all but great for the economy as well.
