The best Sanitation Facilities: A country's sanitation standards need not reflect the country's status or progress. However, having access to good sanitation facilities makes a country more acceptable by the rest of the world. This list starts with the country that has the best and improved sanitation facilities in the world ranging from simple but protected pit latrines to flush toilets with a sewerage connection etc and then ranking other lower countries. The countries that have the high percentage of the population with at least adequate access to excreta disposal facilities that can effectively prevent human, animal, and insect contact with excreta were considered for this survey reported in 2008.
