Countries with the Most Tuberculosis Cases By   [50 more lists]

Countries with prevalent TB Cases: Countries are listed here according to the occurrence of TB cases they have per year. More specifically, they are ranked by the number of pulmonary, smear positive, and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis cases recorded in 2008. The percentage of TB occurrence was based on studies per 100,000 people. Not surprisingly, the incidence of TB in the US is considerably low as it ranks almost at the bottom of the list.

For me this statistics is wrong and unfair. Did You know why the PH ranks #36 on the list? Its because most of the cases are reported in nearest health centers/ clinics and hospitals. And this list just shows the cases right? Not the casualties. So for me, most of the countries in Africa and Southeast asia (eg, indonesia, cambodia, laos, myanmar) must be on higher places because they are much poorer and backward than us.
