Crazy Rumors
Yeah, so they only offer lip balms. But this vegan, home-spun company will convince you that a little lip balm might just be enough to make your life a better place. Developed by Brian and Edie Himmel in New York, the now Florida based company offers DELICIOUS lippy things with SPF protection and no-no animal policies. My pick - A La Mode Mint Chocolate balm. It's seriously so good, if I still did drugs, you could probably find me curled up on my bathroom floor, licking the stuff. Inexpensive, as far as vegan products go, and SO CUTE. -

e.l.f.
Eyes, lips, face. I love this company. They are cruelty free, do not use any animal derived ingredients in any of their make up, and are CHEAP. Seriously. Most of the make up on the site is $1. ONE DOLLAR. The most expensive thing I could find was a gift set for $15. Heck yes. My favorites: Eye Widener, a pencil that makes your eyes go poppy pop! I love the mineral powders and foundations... you can customize your own, order presents for friends, have a party on your face. This NYC based company is independently run, and is oh-so cheap because they don't advertise. HOW PUNK IS THAT? The money they saved on advertising allowed the products to be sold at super low prices, and word of mouth has made these guys famous. Check it. -
Yes To Carrots
I LOVE YTC! Granted, they only offer "care" products... body, hair, etc, no actual cosmetics... but I feel like these guys warrant a mention. Everything YTC offers is vegan, with the exception of their lip balms, which contain beeswax. This company provides affordable, delightful lotions, shampoos, conditioners, masks, etc, and the stuff is available everywhere. I wandered into Rite Aid last night and picked up my Daily Pampering Shampoo, which thrilled me to no end. It also made my hair super happy. -

Manic Panic
YAY! I used Manic Panic hair color like it was my job back in the day, and this company is AWESOME. Two punk chicks from NYC developed this line in the late '70s, and it has become an international mega vegan company. They offer color for everything, and every color you could hope for. Hair dye, foundation, shadow, eye liner, lipstick... For reals. It's about medium range as far as pricing goes (for my shallow pockets, at least) but for the variety of products they offer, its worth it! Please don't be turned off by the goth/punk motif.... normal people can rock Manic Panic, too!
