This Denny's secret menu items list includes any and all off-menu items available. Denny's has an extensive menu that includes both breakfast items and burgers, chicken and other traditional lunch and dinner offerings. But did you know that Denny's also offers a few secret menu items? They totally do. The trick is to learn exactly what they are (and how to ask for them so your server's mind isn't blown).

Grilled Cheese Sandwich
So, you're sitting in Denny's late-night with your friends, but you don't want a burger, you don't want a Grand Slam and you don't really want a ham and cheese sandwich. No, you want a grilled cheese sandwich, you say? Ask and ye shall receive! If the server seems baffled (grilled cheese sandwiches aren't available on ALL Denny's franchise menus - look for the "Three Cheese Melt" first to be sure), just tell her you want a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, but hold the cheese. This obviously sounds simple - but remember, it's late at night, the server's probably been on his or her feet for hours and is totally brain fried. -

French Toast Cheese Sandwich
More on the grilled cheese situation, because this really is the Holy Grail of sandwiches, if done right. Ask for the "French Toast Cheese Sandwich!" It's loads of gooey, wonderful cheese squished between two wonderful, cinnamon-y french toast slices! Jackpot! - 3
Cheese Hash Browns
Hash browns are delicious, but let's face it: they're not exactly healthy. So what?! If you're going to order them, you might as well go all the way, right? Ask for cheesy hash browns! They aren't on the menu, but if you play your cards right and look really, really hungry, the kitchen wizards at Denny's might just add some scrumptious cheese to your hash browns for you, increasing their delicious factor ten-fold. -

Scrambled Eggs Cracked on the Grill
Did you know that a lot of breakfast restaurants use powdered eggs, instead of real ones, to make scrambled eggs? One way to tell: The eggs are pretty much uniformly yellow throughout. If you want fresh, real scrambled eggs, when you order, specify that you want them "cracked on the grill." This will ensure that the eggs aren't powdered, or a liquid substitute! - 5
Low-Carb Substitutions
Trying to curb the carbs? Even if your Denny's doesn't have a specific 'low-carb' menu, you can ask to substitute certain items. Just know that you'll probably still wind up paying full-price (or an additional fee). Example: Ask them to make your burger without a bun, and instead of fries, ask for tomato slices or other veggies (like green beans). There's absolutely no reason to fret about calories and added carbs, because with a few small modifications, you can avoid derailing your diet!
