Drew Barrymore Tattoos
Drew Barrymore's tattoos may be small in quantity but they honor and pay tribute to many of the most important persons and things in her life. Her six tattoos, extending from her stomach down to her toes, each come with a story as to why they are important to the accomplished actress and producer.
It's no secret that Drew Barrymore was born into one of Hollywood's elite but with Drew Barrymore's filmography ranging from her breakout role in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" when she was just a child to in "The Wedding Singer," "50 First Dates," "Boys on the Side" and "Charlie's Angels," Barrymore has made her own fame in the industry. And though she's had her ups and downs, dealing with addiction at a young age, among other things, the actress has remained humble and her tattoos show just that.
Perhaps her most well known tattoo is a simple blue and black butterfly that sits just below her navel. Around her torso is home to four of her six tattoos with a bouquet of flowers also on her lower hip and two tattoos, both of which feature angels, on her back. Moving farther down her body, Barrymore also has a celtic cross tattoo on her leg and one of a crescent moon on her toe.
Those two tattoos on her back are likely the most meaningful to the star as they not only represent guardian angels but also feature names of those special to her. Jaid, her mother Jaid Barrymore's name, and James, the name of a former boyfriend James Walters, grace those tattoos as people watching over her.
Though she calls her tattoos her "permanent makeup," it's clear that these tattoos mean much more to the actress and they help her remain confident and strong as she continues to act, direct, write, model and produce hit after hit in Hollywood.
