A list of famous druids, with pictures where possible. Little is known of the ancient druids as they left not a single written record of themselves. What we do know comes from outsiders who observed them. The oldest and most complete description we have of druids was written by Julius Caesar himself. Druids were, without question, important members of pagan Celtic society serving as both priests and judges of equivalent social stature to a noble. Druidic knowledge was passed verbally, another reason why we know so little about them. With the surge of Celtic revival during the 1700's and 1800's a neopagan group known as New-Druidism was formed. It still exists today.
