Famous Former Scientologists List

Ex-Scientologists of note, listed with photos. These famous former scientologists were members at one point but broke away from the Church of Scientology. Celebrity ex-scientologists are mostly from Hollywood but in addition to multiple Tom Cruise Ex-Wives, notable non-actor former Scientologists include William S Burroughs, comic genius Neil Gaiman, and singer-songwriter Van Morrison. Scientology is difficult to extract yourself from once they have their hooks in you, and it's interesting to note that (with, again, the exception of wives of the Cruiser) most of the "breakaway Scientologists" did so over 20 years ago (it's tougher to break away now, I have a friend who's uncle's life has been hell trying to get away from The Church).
