Rosicrucianism has influenced several Freemason rites including the Rectified Scottish Rite and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Over time, several prominent politicians and influential members of society have been associates of the Rosicrucians.

Who are some of the most famous and influential Rosicrucians? George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin were all members of the secret society. The prolific writer Victor Hugo was also rumored to be a Rosicrucian. Hugo wrote brilliant novels such as “Les Miserables” and “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.” He was a man of great principles and he decided to live in exile after Louis Napoleon established an anti-parliamentary constitution in France.
