Sourdough Fermented Foods to Make and Consume Food & Drink picture
Why is sourdough so damn flavorful? The yeast is grown from a constant feeding of flour and water that causes it to ferment. Do some research and either bum some starter off a friend (or website of course) and continue feeding it and the options are endless: bread, pancakes, biscuits... one thing's for sure, you'll get some tasty fresh sourdough in one manner or another.

Unbeknownst to you, the sausage you buy can be fermented- why do you think it tastes so good?

    Yogurt

Why do you think the doctors tell you to eat yogurt when you're on antibiotics? Because if you get yogurt that's not too overly processed and still contains live cultures, it has good bacteria that will protect your stomach from the antibiotics that are there to kill all your other bad bacteria.... Yogurt, from fermented milk, is fun to make, although you might not find it as cost effective as actually buying yogurt. You might want to leave this one to the experts....

Kimchi Fermented Foods to Make and Consume Food & Drink picture
Originating in Korea, there's a reason this made it overseas. It's highly addictive and comes in many different forms and flavors. Usually made with napa cabbage, lots of spice, and often times some sort of seafood (the spice and fermentation should keep you from getting sick, don't worry).
