It's getting to get that point in the season where NFL head coaches are getting firmly entrenched on the hot seat. Why is that? With the 2013 season nearly halfway completed, there's a clear line between what teams are the haves and have-nots. Though it's tough to tell what teams will be representing the AFC and NFC at Super Bowl XLVII in New Jersey in February, it's pretty easy to see what teams will be looking for new direction at the top of the organization. Some of the coaches on this list have been perpetually on the hot seat, but this is the year where the heat is too much to handle.
For the first time in recent memory, there are several teams whose coaches who could be leading winless seasons. YIkes. Tampa Bay's Greg Schiano has been mentioned by pundits as one of the first coaches to be fired because of his unpopularity among players and the team's poor record. On the opposite end, Jacksonville's Gus Bradley could be in trouble, even though he is in his first season, because he leading one of the worst teams in NFL history. Other established coaches aren't safe either. Minnesota's Leslie Frazier and Houston's Gary Kubiak are presiding over two of the most disappointing teams in the league, which could see them get a pink slip sooner than later.
Some of the coaches on this list are considered the greatest of all time and coaches who fans would love to have a beer with. However, there's always a few surprise firings during the NFL season. Who will be the first NFL head coach fired in 2013? No one knows yet, but here's your chance to chime in and play prognosticator and predict whose team will turn on him first.
