Guitar World's 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists By Music Lover [62 more lists]
The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time, with photos. This list of the best metal guitar players was ranked by Guitar World magazine in 2004. The top metal guitarists list was picked by the staff of the magazine and includes guitar "teams" such as Kirk and Jamez and Angus and Malcom, which totally makes sense when it comes to hard rock so kudos to their proper list treatment. These are definitely the top metal guitar gods of alltime, although there are perhaps a few newer entrants since this list was published (Aaron Turner, anyone?). All hail these 100 heavy metal guitar heroes!
