Highest CO2 Emission by Country
Carbon Dioxide Emissions by Country: This is a list of the highest co2 emission by country as reported in 2008. The co2 emissions considered for this study are those stemming from the burning of fossil fuels and the manufacture of cement. This includes carbon dioxide produced during consumption of solid, liquid, and gas fuels and gas flaring. Qatar, being an oil-rich nation, is the highest CO2 emitting country in the world with 55.4 metric tons per capita. U.S. ranks at #10 spot on this list with CO2 emission of 19.3 metric tons per capita.
