Highest Paid Actors

Starring in the top films and television shows during the period of May 2010 to May 2011, these familiar faces are the highest paid actors of the year as compiled by Forbes magazine. All among the Forbes 100 Most Powerful Celebrities these male actors led the pack in earnings, each raking in millions for their work during the year.

Though Johnny Depp led the list in 2010, the Pirates of the Caribbean star dropped down to second for the 2011 edition with a mere $50 million in earnings and made room for another superstar to take his place. After appearing in two blockbusters during the year, Shutter Island and Inception, Leonardo DiCaprio came in atop all other actors with an estimated $77 million in earnings during the year.

With all 15 of these top actors breaking the $18-million mark for the year, it's pretty clear that being a world-famous actor not only brings a great deal of fame, but brings in a whole bunch of cash.
