Heidi Klum started her career as a participant in a national German modeling contest while still in high school, long before she became the host of "Project Runway." Elisabetta Canalis began working as a host on Italian television, and as an actress in films, before moving into modeling in the early 2000s. (She became even more famous after an 18 month relationship with actor George Clooney.)
