    the pad

well, it's all one level. not telling my address though (duh).

    the fam

no names given out here. my family might change their phone numbers. i am married (my dh is still sane), have one dd here and two angel babies. more on that later. some fam live nearby, some don't. but i'll tell you one thing: you'll never find a better one!

    the homeschooling

oh boy, don't get me started on this one. no i don't send dd to public school. yes i know someone else is better qualified (depending on what you mean by that). my kid/s are not the state's responsibiliy to educate. that would be our job as parents. and yes she's already above the grade standard. since she taught herself to read at age (?) four, well, she's been outsmarting me ever since.

    the lifestyle

i do not have a popular lifestyle. so anyone who is allergic to offense, please tune out now.

i obey my husband. not because the Bible says it (it does), but because it says it for a reason. that's the way God designed marriage from day one. even though things got, well, un-perfect, His designs still work. it's just not that easy to mess up His plans.

i make my kid learn archaic manners. the important ones anyway. again for a reason. you'll know it when my dd is the only child who does not cut a grown-up off at the store, holds the door open if there are adults around, has no problem with not taking a seat unless all the grown-ups have one, and doesn't get what she wants for christmas - she wants what she gets.

i really could care less what i wear or how i look. but i do try so my dh doesn't have to come home to something not pleasant. wal-mart and target supply most of my clothes.

i don't lie. As a nerd i'm not good at it anyway. so we've told the truth about santa claus, the easter bunny, and tooth fairy. but we don't leave out the fun - we just say, this is a game everyone likes to play (about hanging up stockings or looking for eggs). she hasn't missed out on any fun - she'd tell you that herself. we still put out cookies and ""wonder"" what santa will bring. why not? kids love games and appreciate being respected with the truth.
