The lamest celebrity hipster couples are those celebrity couples who share more than a love for each other but also a fondness for unconventional hairstyles, thrift-store fashion and free thinking. Despite many of them being mainstream actors, actresses and musicians, like the typical hipster, they'll tell you all about how they were into things well before they were mainstream. However that logic works, it's lame, just like these lame celebrity hipster couples.
When they're not making their big bucks acting on television, appearing in movies or creating music, these hipster couples can be seen strolling the streets of hipster-friendly cities like New York, San Francisco and Chicago, enjoying hipster movies and searching for the next trendy thing so they can embrace it before it become trendy.
Just like what's cool before it's cool, hipster celebrity couples come and go, especially in Hollywood. For every couple that gets together, like Joanna Newsom and Andy Samberg, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Noah Baumbach, and Scarlett Johansson and Nate Naylor, we hear about others who've had enough of each other and, at least according to the tabloids, are breaking up, such as the likes of Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard or Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp.
Then again, there's also a bunch of hipster couples who got together well before the whole hipster trend was popular, which is perhaps the ultimate way to be a hipster. Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore were the ultimate hipster couple and were so for 27 years before their split in 2011.Whether these couples are just getting together or have been happy hipsters in love for years, we can only hope that their love will not become too mainstream to handle. Stay hip Hollywood couples.
