This is a list of feminists who were a part of 3rd wave feminism. I've included lots of photos of famous feminists from this movement. Feminism is the quest for women's rights. Modern feminist theory divides the feminist movement into 1st and 2nd wave feminism, followed finally by 3rd wave feminism. The third wave of feminists, which we have today, formed in the early 80's in response to the perceived backlash against the second wave's heavy hand. Post feminism is a contemporary of third wave, and the two are sometimes mixed and matched. That said, I've tried to post a list that is entirely 3rd wave. Enjoy! And keep fighting for women's rights!
