College Info College Info 2,000 views 115 items
List of Master's Degrees offered at institutions in North America. A Master's is an academic degree offered for study undertaken after an undergraduate degree (commonly known as a Bachelor's Degree) has been obtained, and helps guide the student entering into professional practice in that field of study at a higher level. A level of understanding that includes critical analysis and the ability to independently solve complex problems in that field is considered standard for obtaining a Master's Degree.

The two most common degrees awarded by Master's programs are the Master of Arts (or M.A.) and the Master of Science (or M.S.) On occasion, these two disciplines can be blended into a single graduate program. Also, the Master of Fine Arts, or M.F.A., is commonly awarded throughout North America.

This list covers alternative Master's Degrees that are offered at colleges and universities throughout North America, besides these standard three. NOTE: Not all North American educational institutions will offer all of the following Master's Degree programs, so it's important to do thorough independent research before applying to any specific schools. Nonetheless, this is a good overview of the available fields of study in which students may pursue a graduate degree.
