Motor Trend Car of the Year: 2000 - 2011

Every Motor Trend Car of the Year from 2000 through 2011, with photos. Every year, Motor Trend Magazine has awarded one car as the best of the year. Up until 1999, Motor Trend had a separate list for Domestic vs. Import cars, which is why this list goes back to 2000. The award originally went to automobile manufacturers, but it soon changed to award a specific vehicle make and model. The autos on this list are some of the best cars in the world... or most of them at least. The list surprisingly includes an auto that bomb (the new Ford Thunderbird). That said, it also includes a car that is a masterpiece (the Nissan GT-R). However they did it though, each of these vehicles earned a special place among the staff at Motor Trend.
