Mulligan -10 Moments Sports Stars Wish They Could Do Over
Everyone makes bad decisions. It is not "if", it is "when." However, some decisions are much worse than others. I've decided to take a look at some bad decisions made by sports stars over the years. From the Lawrence Taylor lifetime achievement award to Tiger Woods, here is a look at my list - "Mulligan-10 Moments a Sports Star Wishes They Could Do Over." See more @ www.theshowspeak.com.

I know, most of you are on pins and needles thinking how I could come up with a Bonds moment. It's just what I do...(thanks to Randall on this one)....This proud moment is called giving Andy Van Slyke the finger on the play that haunts Pirate fans to this day: (Van Slyke's recount) Not so with Andy Van Slyke, who appears on MLB's 20 Greatest Games on MLB Network (Sunday, 7 p.m. ET) to recount playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Atlanta Braves in Game 7 of the 1992 National League Championship Series.
Van Slyke, playing center field, recalls asking Pirates teammate Barry Bonds to move in on the Braves' Francisco Cabrera, who was at-bat in the ninth inning.
Bonds demurred. Or as Van Slyke recalls, "He turned and looked at me and gave me the international peace sign. So I said, 'Fine, you play where you want.' "
Cabrera's hit then dropped in front of Bonds, who then barely missed throwing out the game-winning and series-ending run at the plate.
Bonds, of course, went on to have more problems following directions. - 7Up 7Down 5
Andre Rison giving the keys to his house to Left Eye
Perhaps, I should have title this Andre Rison meeting Lisa Left Eye Lopes. Lopes, of music group TLC fame, burned down Rison's house after he had returned to his nearly $1M estate late one n****. . Bad idea Andre: (see more here)
Rap singer Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of the hit group TLC faces arson charges in a fire that d***oed the house of her boyfriend, football player Andre Rison, in the exclusive Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, GA.
Lopes, 24, is accused of setting fire to cardboard in an empty whirlpool at the Atlanta Falcons football star's two-story stucco $861,000 mansion after Rison and some friends returned home from an all-night outing, according to news reports.
Police said Lopes also slapped and cursed at Rison and smashed two cars outside his home.
Lopes turned herself in at the Fulton County Police Department the day after the fire. She was arrested and charged with arson in the first degree and criminal damage to property in the second degree.
Lisa Lopes tragically d**d in 2002. Andre "Bad Moon" Rison should have been Andre "Bad Move" rison for handing the keys to his crib to Left Eye. - 8Up 5Down 6
Robin Ventura had a very accomplished collegiate and professional baseball career. However, he will be most remembered for charging the mound after Hall Of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan drilled him in the ribs with a fastball in 1993. Ryan proceeded to get the younger Ventura in a head lock and pummeled him with 6 upper cuts. School is in session son. - 9Up 3Down 5
Evander Holyfield you say? Why would he be on this list of bad decisions. Sure, he has made a few poor choices, including a boxing match earlier this year at age 48. However, his biggest error in judgment may have been a head butt against "Iron Mike" Tyson in 1997. Holyfield won this rematch via a disqualification of Tyson. From Wikipedia: Holyfield's rematch with Tyson took place on June 28, 1997. Known as "The Bite Fight," it would go into the a****s of boxing as one of the most bizarre fights in history. The infamous incident occurred in the third round, when Tyson bit Holyfield on one of his ears and had two points deducted. Referee Mills Lane decided to disqualify Tyson initially, but after Holyfield and the ringside doctor intervened and said Holyfield could continue, he relented and allowed the fight to go on. However, Tyson went on to bite Holyfield again, this time on the other ear. Tyson, with his teeth, tore off the top of his ear, known as the helix, and spit the flesh out on the ring.
According to "Tyson" the Documentary, the ear biting incident was a result of Evander's continuous head butting of Tyson. Thus, his head butting Mike Tyson makes my list of moments Evander wishes he did over. - 10Up 1Down 3Don Zimmer v. Pedro Martinez. Winner: Pedro. You have to respect "Popeye" for the courage he showed in bum rushing the 140 lb Pedro Marinez, who is 40 years younger than the feisty Zimmer. The 72 year old Zimmer (at the time of the 2003 ALCS incident) fared no better than a bull in a bull fight. The only thing missing was the crowd shouting "Ole". (and the inhumane treatment of Zimmer like a Bull, however, that is another story) Check out the video of Popeye v Pedro.
