My Favorite Bands As Of 11/1/82 (Age 14)

Evidence of an obsessive Ranker (and a music nerd) since long before this internet-thing existed. Written in cursive on a spiral-bound notebook (not even thin-lined . . . I was soo young . . . ). Already a big hard rock fan, I was just starting to get into Metal (Maiden is just bubbling up, and there is yet no sign of Motorhead, Saxon, and others who would find heavy rotation on my boombox in high school).

I still love dearly all the bands on the list. My tastes have diversified widely in the last 30 years, but the turn of the 80s was a golden era for hard rock.

My handwriting, alas, is only marginally better today.
