I live in LA and have been attempting to grow my own veggies/herbs for the past few months. i've had some good experiences (rosemary is hearty) and some bad (the damned birds keep eating my tomatoes and basil)

    I'm having good luck with basil, sage, rosemary, chives and golden oregano. They all need more sun than you think.
