NFL Players Arrested During the 2011 Lockout By Kevin [41 more lists]

This is a list of the NFL players arrested during the 2011 lockout. It's apparent that without football, our cities are a bit more dangerous. The lockout only lasted from March 11 to July 25 and 22 NFL players were arrested. I guess these players make the wrong decisions when they don't have people to tackle. Let's just be happy that the lockout is finally over and these players can get back to what they're good at- playing football.

Date arrested: July 17

The Cincinnati Bengals player was arrested for misdemeanor assault with injury, after he apparently punched his former roommate in the face.

Date arrested: July 17

Jerry Hughes, the Colts defensive end, was arrested outside of a Dallas nightclub for suspicion of public intoxication.

Marvin White, the Cincinnati Bengals safety, was arrested for simple assault and disturbing the peace. The violations happened in a dispute over a child-care center's bill.

The Eagles linebacker, Akeem Jordan, was arrested for a misdemeanor assault and battery after a fight outside a bar in Harrisburg, Virginia.

Javarris James, the Colts running back, was arrested for marijuana possession in Fort Myers, Florida.

Date arrested: June 8 and April 12

The Titans wide receiver was first arrested in his hometown of Bayonne, New Jersey for not pulling over for a police officer who was attempting to give him a ticket for speeding. One day after he plead guilty to his first charge, he was charged with resisting arrest. He wouldn't cooperate with police when they thought he was smoking marijuana while in line at a carwash.

Garrett Wolfe

Date arrested: May 22

Garrett Wolfe, the Chicago Bears running back, was charged with retail theft, disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrested with violence. The running back disputed a $1,572 bill at a Miami nightclub, which ultimately led to a fight with an off-duty police officer and a list of charges against him.

Date arrested: May 9

Alex Magee, the Tampa Bay defensive end, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving with an expired tag. He was initially pulled over for an expired tag, but the police inspected his car and found a small bag of marijuana.

The Chargers linebacker was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Date arrested: April 19

William Moore, the Falcons safety, was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court after being pulled over for a citation in Gwinnett County, Ga.

Date arrested: April 4

A police officer accused Vrabel of taking bottles of alcohol away without paying for them at an Indiana casino. He was arrested for felony theft charges.

Louis Murphy, the Raiders receiver, was arrested for three misdemeanors. One of the misdemeanors he was charged with was possession of a drug without a prescription, which was later identified as Viagra in an unlabeled bottle. Murphy's explanation for the Viagra in an unlabeled bottle was because he didn't want his girlfriend to know he had a prescription for it.

Aqid, along with his mother, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly shot at his sister's boyfriend.

Peters was arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. It was stated that his music in his car was being played too loud in a downtown area.

Date arrested: March 25

Police found 600 grams of codeine on Jolly, which resulted in his arrest for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. This was after being suspended from the NFL for violating it's substance abuse policy. He would've been a part of a Super Bowl championship team if he didn't violated the NFL's policy.

McCann, the Cowboys cornerback, was charged with public intoxication.

Date arrested: March 17

He was initially pulled over for playing music too loudly in his car, but the police officer discovered a concealed weapon on Henderson, which immediately resulted in his arrested.

Chris Cook, the Vikings cornerback, was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a gun during a fight.
