    Chicken Fettuccine Florentine

    This dish was a staple on Olive Garden menus for quite a while. Unfortunately, it's not there anymore. That doesn't mean that you're out of luck. Ask your server if the kitchen can make this for you. If they have all the ingredients on hand, they often will. Hint: This goes for other 'seasonal' menu offerings as well - always check to see if you can get your fave dish made specially for you.

    Vegetarian Menu Options

    Hitting up the neighborhood Olive Garden with a vegetarian? No worries. While many dishes include meat, you can always make modifications. If you find an entree that seems particularly appealing, but it includes chicken, beef or shrimp, just ask your server if you can have just the pasta/sauce/veggies. Keep in mind, however, that you may still pay full price for the menu item - even without the meat. Try asking for extra veggies or more pasta to make up the difference.

    Zeppoli Dipping Sauces

    Haven't tried the Olive Garden's zeppoli dessert yet? Yum. Basically, zeppoli is an Italian doughnut that's dusted with powdered sugar and served with a warm chocolate sauce - for dipping delight. Not a chocolate fan? You may have options. Our server offered us a raspberry sauce for our zeppoli - delicious, and highly recommended! Ask if additional/optional dipping sauces are available...you never know what you might get!

    Stuffed Ravioli

    Olive Garden almost always includes some type of stuffed ravioli dish on its regular menu (and sometimes as a monthly, seasonal special). Not keen on Italian sausage with spinach in your pasta? You may be able to make a substitution. Just ask for chicken or tell the server to hold the spinach. This may not always work, as many raviolis are prepared in advance - but it's certainly worth a shot!

    Want a large appetizer, but not happy with the sampler choices? Just tell your server what you want. Many times, you'll be able to substitute. If you love the Olive Garden calamari, for example, you can always ask for an entire sampler of just that - or double portions, allowing you to gobble away.

    EXACTLY! These "secret menu item" lists here are terrible and misleading. A "secret" item is something that is available all the time, you just have to know it exists to partake. Less cheese on a dish to save calories is a secret menu item? Please re-title these lists accordingly.

    Really? Most of these items are more common sense than "secret". It's no "secret" that you can as for a substitution or have the kitchen go easy on something.
