A Fine Thing
Emma: "Hey, there. Just to say I'm running late but I'm on my way and I'm sorry for being so snappy this morning. Just wanted to say you're a fine thing Dexter Mayhew. I love you very much. Okay, there you go, lucky you."
Dexter Mayhew has come a long way over the course of his friendship with Emma. He's gone from rich playboy to...rich playboy...to loving husband. Unfortunately, things don't always work out, no matter how good they're going. Nothing good is ever easy.

Nothing Good Was Ever Easy
Emma: "London's swallowed me up. I thought I'd make a difference, but no one knows I'm here."
Dexter: "Listen, listen. Nothing truly good was ever easy."
Emma is struggling to make it in London - and not doing very well. Dexter, in turn, is teaching in Paris, sleeping with his students, and generally being...Dexter. But his advice to Emma is spot on. Nothing good is easy - and that includes Dexter and Emma's relationship.

You Cured Me of YouEmma: "When we were at University...I had a crush on you."BUY @ AMAZON
Dexter: "So what happened?"
Emma: "I got to know you, you cured me of you."
Emma pretty much tells it like it is, which is one reason why Dex is so drawn to her. Dex really can be a bit of a tool (understatement) at times, and once Emma really gets to know him, she's not nearly as taken with him as she once was...or is she?
