There are a million billion bajillion perks to taking online college courses as opposed to attending school in person. Freedom to wear underwear only, go to class sick while browsing Adult Swim's game section on the side, never be in fear of getting called on (or out) by the teacher, schedule flexibility, and enhanced ability to cheat are all perks of attending online college courses . However, it's simply an honest truth that no matter how many perks there are, some online college courses just look a little paltry -- like they would be a lot more fun and interesting to attend in person. This is not to discredit online colleges, which are a blessing overall. It's nothing more than the truth; it's like stating that skydiving in actuality is more fun and exciting than playing a skydiving video game on N64. Here are some online college courses which seem like they'd just be better in person. -

Clairvoyancy
Clairvoyancy is a 'skill' which is more widely mocked than it is accepted as a real thing. It's the ability to perceive upcoming events, and being a psychic f*ture-teller has always been surrounded by negative stigma. Regardless of what you believe, the reality still remains: online college courses on clairvoyancy, its background and developing skills is offered at a place called eLearnUK . The curriculum includes cleromancy, meditation, prediction, dowsing, dreams and crystals (Oneiromancy and Crystalomancy if you will), tarot and playing cards (cartomancy), Chinese and Western astrology, and palmistry. Subjecting your poor children to nightmarish Ouija board sessions and half-assed palm readings may be your idea of fun, but classes focusing on psychic abilities seem like they would be more interesting -- as well as funnier -- to experience in person. Although the student spending money on these classes will probably take it quite seriously, the idea of a roomful of people doing a guesswork dance about one another's f*tures while making emotional faces and connecting with 'spirits' is quite titillating. - 3
Dog Grooming
It's really not that hard to give your dog a bath or cut its nails, unless you have to muzzle it and strap it to the wall while doing so… in which case, it still isn't that hard once the muzzle is on. Dog grooming online college courses are offered by Groomadog Academy, which sounds like a weird villain that never made it into the final stages of the Sesame Street episodes. The $500 dog grooming kit comes with combs, animal clippers, shampoo, a leash, and other various items which can be bought at the pet store for considerably less money than half a grand. Although this online college course is most likely easy to learn from home, it's probably way more fun to be in a room of people grooming cute dogs and each laughing at the animals' cute quirkiness. - 4
Sculpting
There's actually no degree involved in becoming a forensic artists. In fact, most forensic artists say that they didn't set out to become one from the get-go; they typically worked in law enforcement for years before finding an opportunity to become a forensic artists. The main requirement for this position is drawing skill. The forensic artist must be able to reconstruct a victim or suspect's face based on skull composition or shoddy witness testimony (respectively). The drawing that comes out may be responsible for identifying a person who will essentially close a criminal investigation on a murder, rape, burglary, or other serious crime. Despite the lack of degrees , there are online college courses that offer forensic sculpting and drawing classes. It seems like sitting alone in your dark bedroom, drawing the lonely face of a victim based on an assigned picture of a skull would get kind of creepy. Isn't it funny how a normal activity during the daytime becomes totally scary and weird at night? - 5
Parapsychology
Much like clairvoyance, parapsychology gets the short end of the stick when it comes to credibility. Parapsychology is similar to clairvoyance in that there's fortune telling and f*ture reading, but it also involves delving into a person's past (or past lives) to administer therapy to that person. Part of parapsychology involves psychic abilities, which makes for great competition in the classroom when trying to find out who is the most psychic. It can also create really fun drama, such as between two people who are attracted to one another -- until one finds out that the other's psychic abilities are pretty crappy. This online college course just seems boring to take alone in one's room, and somewhat ineffective to test out on roommates and family members.
