Patrick Swayze's Legacy (A List Of Movie Moments)
List of Patrick Swayze Movie Moments, since Patrick Swayze's movies are his legacy. Patrick Swayze died today, and in light of Patrick Swayze's death, I thought this would be a fitting memorial for Patrick Swayze. From Dirty Dancing to Donnie Darko, Patrick Swayze leaves behind a legacy of iconic films that will live forever. Here is my tribute to the teen idol turned serious actor -- a list of the Patrick Swayze movie moments that stand out for me.

Roadhouse
The turning point in my opinion, this is where Patrick Swazye went from hunky actor to hardcore badass butt-kicker. Sure, he was macho before, but this scene cemented that part of his identity and his skill set as an actor. - 2
Jim Cunningham
It's hard not to appreciate the genius of this performance, where Swazye manages to be thoroughly slimy despite the fact that by the time he made this movie, he was already a major movie star and bonafide big screen beefcake. Any actor that can make you hate his character onscreen in spite of his offscreen identity is truly a talent to be reckoned with. - 3Okay, I'm a girl. So for me, the fact that this scene is amazing needs no explanation. But, for those of you who don't have ovaries, let me break it down in terms that have nothing to do with Patrick Swayze's killer pecs. Let's face it, the man took a scene that should have been tooth-achingly sweet and sappy and turned it into something with some genuine emotion in it. Plus, his arms are pretty gorgeous in it too.

Nobody puts baby in a corner
As I said, I'm a girl. So, there's not much I feel I need to explain about how awesome this scene was. But, for those of you who need explanation, all I can say is that the guy managed to pull off pirouettes while still coming across as an undeniably sexy man with all of his aforementioned manliness intact. Not an easy feat. - 5Patrick Swayze makes an amazing woman. Not something most actors would want to trumpet about themselves, but in To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar, he pulls off an entire performance in drag that's entirely on the leading man level.
