Rank   Name Artist Release Date Genre(s) Release type
  1. 1
    Genesis
    1974
    Progressive rock, Concept album
    Album
One of my least favorite Genesis albums...AND a much lesser albums than many I've ranked lower here, but I've been waiting for 16 years to see Phish play Genesis. Since Phil Collins recently announced he can never drum again, a Peter Gabriel-led reunion tour is out of the question....so I'm counting on Phish to keep this material alive.
  2. 2
    The Revolution
    1984
Rock music, Hard rock, New Wave, Rhythm and blues, Pop music, Funk, Contemporary R&B, Psychedelic rock, Neo-Psychedelia, Minneapolis sound More
    Soundtrack
Great material, the band could do it well, and it would be fun as h**l. Just saw Prince play lots of this material perfectly in November...and no one could match him...but this would still be fun.
  3. 3
    David Bowie
Folk music, Rock music, Pop rock, Folk rock, Pop music, Glam rock, Art rock More
    Album
Again, David Bowie....nothing more need be said.
  4. 4
    The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Rock music, Hard rock, Progressive rock, Heavy metal, Blues-rock, Experimental rock, Funk-rock, Psychedelic rock, Acid rock, Psychedelic soul More
    Album
Again, great material the band could nail.
  5. 5
    Radiohead
    2000
Alternative rock, Electronic music, Ambient music, Experimental rock, Electronica, Experimental music, Electronic rock, Art rock More
    Album
Since Radiohead is still an amazing touring entity that still plays this material, I'd rather see Radiohead play it. BUT it's still ranked high on my list b/c I think Phish could do some really interesting work here.
  6. 6
    The Rolling Stones
    1972
Folk music, Rock music, Blues-rock, Rhythm and blues, Soul music, Roots rock, Rock and roll, Country rock, Gospel music, Blue-eyed soul, Boogie-woogie More
    Album
One of the greatest albums of all time....with a breadth of material that would make for a cool show. Like Radiohead, the Stones till tour and still play this stuff....and I'd rather see the Stones play their own stuff....but I think Phish would do a great job with this.
  7. 7
    King Crimson
    1973
Hard rock, Progressive rock, Experimental rock
    Album
Not a huge Crimson fan, but would definitely make for an interesting set of Phish.
  8. 8
    MGMT
    2007
Alternative rock, Synthpop, Electropop, New Wave, Alternative dance, Indie rock, Psychedelic rock, Neo-Psychedelia, Indie pop, Electronic dance music, Electronica, Electronic rock More
    Album
Love half this album and, although MGMT tours now behind this material, there is room for Phish to do some interesting stuff here.
  9. 9
    The Rolling Stones
    1969
Rock music, Hard rock, Blues-rock, Roots rock, Rock and roll, Country rock More
    Album
